Privacy notice
This notice applies to www.macenplaya.com and www.icafeplaya.com and to the service provided by Mac en Playa and iCafé. It is issued under Mexico's Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties (LFPDPPP) and its regulations.
1. Data controller

2. Personal data we collect
- Quotes and repair service: name, phone or WhatsApp number, device type and model, description of the problem, and any data you choose to share when you talk to us.
- Browsing: technical and usage data (pages viewed, clicks, device type, approximate location) only if you accept analytics cookies.
- We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal data or data from minors. Please do not include passwords or financial data in your messages.
The quick-quote form on the site does not send information to our servers: it builds a message that opens in WhatsApp and you decide whether to send it.
3. Purposes
Necessary: reply to your messages, quote and provide the repair service, contact you about the status of your device and handle follow-up questions.
Additional (with your consent): measure and improve how the site is used through analytics. You can reject or withdraw them at any time from “Cookie preferences” in the footer, without affecting the service.
4. Transfers and providers
We do not sell your data. Depending on how you use the site, your data may interact with: WhatsApp (Meta Platforms) when you message us; PostHog (PostHog Inc.) only if you accept analytics, with servers in the US or EU depending on the configured region; Google Maps only if you load the map. Each provider has its own privacy notice. The AI waitress iTable/Sol is an iTable service (itable.com.mx) with its own notice. We may share data when a competent authority requires it.
4 bis. International transfers
If you accept analytics, your technical usage data may be processed outside Mexico (United States or European Union) by PostHog. By accepting, you consent to that transfer; if you reject analytics, it does not happen.
5. ARCO rights and withdrawal of consent
You have the right to access your data, rectify it, cancel it or object to its use, and to withdraw your consent and limit its use or disclosure. To exercise them, send a request by email to privacidad@icafeplaya.com, on WhatsApp to +52 984 136 1483, or in person at Calle 20 Norte, 25 Avenida Nte at the corner of Gonzalo Guerrero, 77710 Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo, Mexico, stating: your name and a way to reply, a copy of an official ID, a clear description of your request and any detail that helps us find your information. We will reply within 20 business days of receipt and, if it applies, carry out the request within the following 15 business days.

7. Retention and security
We keep your data for as long as needed for the purposes described and for applicable legal obligations, and we apply reasonable administrative, technical and physical measures to protect it.
8. Changes to this notice
If anything changes we will publish it on this page with the update date.
9. Authority
If you believe your data protection right has been violated, you may go to the competent data protection authority in Mexico (currently the Secretaría Anticorrupción y Buen Gobierno).
